The Sun is a star. It is very big and very hot. The Earth is a planet. The Earth goes around the Sun.
The Sun gives us light and heat. Plants need sunlight to grow. People and animals also need the Sun. Without the Sun, the Earth would be very cold and dark.
The Earth moves in two ways. First, it spins. When the Earth spins, we have day and night. When our side of the Earth faces the Sun, it is day. When it turns away from the Sun, it is night.
Second, the Earth moves around the Sun. It takes one year to go around the Sun. This movement gives us four seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter.
The Sun is very important for life on Earth. It helps plants grow, keeps us warm, and gives us light every day.
